Seamstresses making Chemo Buddies for kids

Our seamstresses sew and stuff awesome dolls with love to provide a friend for Chemo kids. Fantastic community members have been donating materials and supplies to make the dolls, others give monetary donations to provide funds for supplies. Everyone pulls together to make Christmas a little brighter for our precious and deserving chemo kids who are fighting for their lives at Doernbecher and other hospitals.

Providing dolls to kids in need

All kids are afraid of dark and lonely nights, but Chemo Buddy loves to snuggle close and comfort a frightened child. He provides love and hugs and gives hours of happiness and joy throughout the day. Amazing local community members are all working together towards our goal of bringing Christmas Chemo Buddies to each child in every unit at Doernbecher Hospital.

Teens to deliver Christmas Chemo Buddies

Teens are standing by to cheerfully hand out Chemo Buddy dolls again! Civil Air Patrol (CAP) students are ready and available to hand out Christmas Chemo Buddies to hospital chemo kids. They have previously gone on visits to Sacred Heart Hospital and Willamette Hospital to hand out dolls under the supervision of Col. Roxanne Cole and her husband, with Trenee' Zweigle, RN, representing Happy Smiles For Kids.
